STD's Overview
Chlamydia is a bacterial infection. Symptoms appear within 7 – 28 days of having sex. Often, there are no symptoms at all.

Gonorrhea is a bacterial infection. Symptoms appear within 2 – 21 days of having unprotected sex. Often there are no symptoms in either guys or girls.

Syphilis is a bacterial infection. There are two stages of the infection Stage 1 appears in 3 to 12 weeks after having sex. Stage 2 appears 1 week to 6 months after Stage 1 sores heal.

Genital warts are cauliflower shaped bumps on the sex organs and anus; they are usually painless.

Hepatitis B symptoms can show up 1-9 months after contact with the hepatitis B virus. Many people have little or no symptoms.

Herpes are small, painful blisters on the mouth or sex organs. Blisters last for 1-3 weeks. They can go away, but you still have herpes.

HIV Human Immuno-Deficiency Virus, causes the immune system to breakdown and may cause AIDS, Acquired Immuno-Deficiency Syndrome.
